“Terror & Magnificence” is the latest fragrance from “Beaufort London”. It is inspired by the works of architect Nicholas Hawksmoor (1661-1736), whose structures pierce the London landscape. Hawksmoor, known as the “devil’s architect”, continues to provoke interest for his distinctive churches, which introduced elements of Egyptology into traditional ecclesiastical settings. These architectural details and his recent reputation as a Freemason have led to speculation that occult symbolism influenced his methods and imbued his designs with inherent “terror and magnificence”.

Top Notes: Saffron, Black Pepper and Birch Tar.

Heart Notes: Somalian Frankincense, Tobacco, Kyphi and Egyptian Papyrus.

Base Notes: Myrrh Resin, Benzoin Resin, Labdanum Absolute, Haitian Vetiver and Wet Stone Accord.
